Description

Leading real estate company specializing in commercial properties. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service to our tenants and stakeholders. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will manage leasing contracts, perform CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations, and oversee collections processes.

Job Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely management of leasing contracts, conducting CAM reconciliations, and managing the collections process. This role requires a high level of accuracy, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities to interact with tenants and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable Management:

  • Process and manage incoming payments, ensuring accurate allocation to tenant accounts.

  • Generate and send out invoices and account statements.

  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and follow up with tenants for timely payments.

  • Leasing Contract Management:

  • Maintain and update leasing contract records.

  • Ensure all lease agreements are accurately reflected in the financial system.

  • Liaise with the leasing team to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to lease agreements.

  • CAM Reconciliations:

  • Perform CAM reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with lease terms.

  • Calculate and allocate CAM charges to tenants based on their lease agreements.

  • Prepare and distribute CAM reconciliation reports to tenants and address any queries or disputes.

  • Collections:

  • Implement effective collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts.

  • Communicate with tenants to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans when necessary.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of collection activities and follow-up actions.

  • Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging reports, and collection activities.

  • Ensure all financial records are properly maintained and compliant with company policies and procedures.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial audits as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably within the real estate industry.

  • Experience with CAM reconciliations and lease contract management is highly desirable.

  • Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with tenants and team members.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role.

• Demonstrable experience in Account Reconciliation.

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures and processes.

• Experience in Billing and Cash Applications.

• Familiarity with Cash Collections and Commercial Collections.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience in Commercial Leasing and Real Estate Leasing.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial files.

• High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness.

• BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is a plus.
