UAW-LETC is expanding their Automotive and Diesel training programs. This expansion creates a great opportunity for individuals interested in teaching automotive and/or diesel skills to young adults enrolled at the Clearfield Job Corps Automotive Training Program.

Are you an automotive or diesel technician looking to share your knowledge and experience with a new crop of future technicians? Do you like working with young people interested in changing their lives for a better future? Would you like to be a mentor to students interested in career in the automotive or diesel industry? If so, UAW-LETC offers a training program for technicians who have a strong desire to teach automotive or diesel service and repair to young adult between the ages of 17 and 27 years old.

We provide free medical insurance for individuals and a competitive medical plan for families; a 7:30 am to 4:30 pm work schedule; M-F with no weekend work; company paid pension plan; 401k plan; 13 Paid holidays per year; 4 weeks paid vacation/sick/personal time in your first year of work.

We off a great work working environment and on-the-job training with an experienced Certified Technician/Instructor. Teaching or mentoring experience is recommended but it is not required.

Responsibilities: include: Instruct young adults in one of the following the areas of instruction: Automotive Foundations, Electrical, Brakes, Suspension and Steering, Engines and Transmissions and HVAC and related subjects in the diesel training area. Most instructional staff work in a specialized area of instruction, with small class sizes and all of the resources you need to be a success instructor. We provide excellent customer service to our students. We maintain our equipment, vehicles and keep the work to maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment. Instructors serve as a mentors and role models to all students.

Qualifications:- Candidate must have at least 2 years Automotive or Diesel Experience- Have ASE Certifications and/or the ability to acquire ASE certifications in the following areas: (A1-A8) or (T2-T8) and G1 within 1 year of your hire date. ASE certification testing and preparation is paid for by the company.

Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Must show strong attention to detail and have a desire to change the lives of young adults pursuing an automotive/diesel career.
