Google Product Manager, Backup and Disaster Recovery, Google Cloud in Hyderabad, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder, or a related technical role.

  • 2 years of experience building and shipping technical products.

  • Experience in building enterprise software products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in product management building enterprise software products.

  • Experience with Kubernetes and backup.

  • Experience in one or more of the following: data protection, disaster recovery, storage, Relational Databases (Postgres, MYSQL), No-SQL Databases (Cassandra, MongoDB ), messaging queues (Kafka) and K-V stores (Redis) and storage technologies (block/file/object/CSI).

  • Experience managing day-to-day technical and design direction.

  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, or Marketing.

  • Familiarity with cloud native applications development platforms.

Kubernetes is a standard for building modern micro services oriented containerized applications. The Backup and Disaster Recovery team provides business continuity solutions for mission critical Virtual Machines (VM) and Kubernetes workloads in Google Cloud and hybrid environments.

As a Product Manager, you will enjoy working with customers and can lead cross-functional teams spanning engineering, business, and services spanning across the globe.

  • Define and launch features and drive customer adoption for GCP data protection products specifically backup for Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) service.

  • Drive strategy, direction, and execution for Kubernetes workload data protection.

  • Define product requirements for new features and develop Product Requirements Documents (PRDs).

  • Partner with product managers from other parts of GCP (e.g., storage, databases, Google Kubernetes Engine) to solve customer use cases.

  • Drive adoption and business by partnering with marketing, business, support and partner account teams.
